Community Practice Sessions

What are Communitiy Practice Sessions (CPS)?

In the CPS we invite a member of the community to come up with a topic and share this with the participants. It can be one of our teachers or anyone from the community, who volunteers to host a session. The idea is that we learn from eachother by practising and giving feedback. It is a very interactive activity and everyones input is needed to make it work.

The CPS are for those who are a bit more experienced dancers. You should have your basic footwork and groove in dancing. But it can be helpful for beginners as well to practice their basics. Bear in mind that practice sessions are structured a little differently from the lessons. Although community members will be there to introduce the topic and offer some guidance, the emphasis is on learning, practicing and exploring together in a less formal setting!

  • Check the calendar for the next CPS!
  • Location: De Nieuwe Anita, Frederik Hendrikstraat 111, Amsterdam
  • No registration needed, just show up!
  • Free entrance, donation apreciated (QR or cash)
