Backroom Blues LIVE with Papaleg Acoustic Duo

This Tuesday we have live music for you at De Nieuwe Anita at our regular social evening. No Community Practice Session as we'll be dancing to live music tonight.
Papaleg Acoustic Duo will play some good old delta blues for us at De Nieuwe Anita's backroom. With bluesy soulful, funky DJ Mark behind the "turntables".

Papaleg Acoustic Duo with PG Petricca and Marco Tinari has been performing classic Delta blues since 2005. With a busy schedule that saw them extensively touring until 2011 bringing the Mississippian delta blues sound to the main European festivals, collaborating with several artists (Jimbo Mathus, Olga Munding, Rich Del Grosso, Bill Abel, Jon Short, Elam McNight) and recording two acclaimed CDs, "Railroad Blues" (2007) and "Back To Mississippi" (2009).

Their powerful live-sets were a staple at theaters, blues festivals, street corners, and squatted buildings. This deep experience as street-life musicians gave Papaleg a unique and authentic way to channel and express a sound rooted in the Mississippi blues.
PG launched his solo career in 2011, touring the blues scene. After studio guest appearances with Paola Ronci and Jona's Blues Band, he released his well-received first solo album, "At Home" (2015), followed by "Tales And Other Stories" (2016). Following a folk-blues collaboration with Gipsy Rufina (2020), his third solo album, "Bad Days," came out in October 2021.
