Introduction

The Blues Joint association highly values the protection of personal data and processes this information in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This privacy policy explains which data is collected, for what purpose, and how your privacy is ensured.

Which personal data do we process?

When registering as a member, participant, volunteer, or for classes/events, the following personal data may be processed.

  • Name
  • Address
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Payment details (IBAN and account holder name)
  • (Possibly) photos and videos of activities

Purposes of processing

Your data is processed for the following purposes:

  • Handling of registrations, membership, and participation in classes/activities
  • Communication about schedule changes, events, and news
  • Invoicing and financial administration
  • Sending newsletters and promotional messages (if consent is given)
  • Compliance with legal obligations as an association

Provision to third parties

Your personal data is not sold or rented to third parties. Data may be shared with service providers such as our administration office or IT provider, solely for service purposes and strictly under GDPR agreements (processor agreement). Provision to (secure) third parties only occurs if necessary or required by law.

Retention periods

Data is kept as long as necessary for the execution of our services and legal obligations. After termination of membership, data is stored for a maximum of 2 years, unless a longer period is required by law.

Security

The Blues Joint implements appropriate technical and organizational measures to secure personal data against loss, unauthorized access, or other forms of unlawful processing. Only authorized persons have access to the data. Digital data is protected, and paper documents are securely destroyed.

Right of access, rectification, and erasure

Members, participants, and other stakeholders have the right to access, correct, or delete their personal data. Requests can be sent to thebluesjoint@gmail.com.

Use of visual material

Photos and videos of lessons, workshops, and events are only used for communication or promotion (website, social media, newsletter) with explicit consent. Consent can always be withdrawn by contacting the board.

Complaints and contact

Changes to the privacy policy

The Blues Joint reserves the right to amend this privacy policy. Important changes will be communicated via the website. Please regularly check this statement for updates.
